How your data is handled

Plainly, and without the fine print.

What Up Next reads

Only what you connect, read-only: Gmail threads, your Google Calendar, and calls you recorded yourself in Fathom, Granola or Zoom. It cannot send, delete or change anything in those accounts. It never reads calls other people recorded, even ones you have admin access to.

What it keeps

The people you work with, the commitments found in your conversations with the short quote each came from, and a link back to the original. Mail bodies and call transcripts are read and then dropped — never stored. Everything kept is encrypted with a key unique to your account; the database alone can’t be read.

Who sees it

You. Signing in takes your Google account and a passkey on your device. To read a conversation, its text is sent to Anthropic’s Claude API, which doesn’t train on it and deletes it within 30 days under Anthropic’s commercial terms. There is no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party script on any page.

Leaving

Settings › Your data downloads everything in one file, or deletes everything and destroys your encryption key. Disconnecting a service removes Up Next’s access to it immediately.
